Exportation
Export Items by Loewe Opta.
Dear Collectors/Visitors of our website, this time I am coming to you with a request. As the heading already indicates it has to do with information regarding equipment that was exported by Loewe Opta.
Unfortunately the only thing we have been able to find out for sure is that radios and associated items that were destined for export had been manufactured at the Düsseldorf plant Opta Spezial. As much as we were unable to find records about what had been produced for export in Düsseldorf, I would like to try and shed some light on this.
and gather information.
Some items can be viewed on the following pages, however that is only a small part of what had been produced there.
Loewe Opta Spezial also did build sets-chassis for some other German companies, we have information relative to Siemens for example. However, I am digressing, this does not relate to their export production.
Should you, dear reader, be in possession of any information that deals with export sets by Loewe Opta we would appreciate if you would be prepared to share copies of this information with the Radiomuseum Bocket. We believe that copies of Photofacts from the USA could be especially helpful. Unfortunately we do not have the opportunity to buy these items since we are a museum and not a company for profit.
As mentioned above some information we have and that can be viewed in our data base. There are brand names such as Fonovox and Olympia Opta but many items were also sold around the world under the Loewe Opta name. Often the model numbers were changed by adding a '0' to distinguish the export fact. There was a 05741 for example - the Truxa - as shown in our data base.
I would be very pleased if you could help us with this.
