Olympic Opta exchange contract signed

Another important step for the economic regenaration. One of the most important exchange contracts for the import of AM/FM radio sets
into the USA was signed by Olympic Radio & Television Inc of New York and Loewe Opta AG West Berlin under attendance of Herr C. E. Munchhausen, Vize President
of the American Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Morris Sobin, President of Olympic Radio & Television Inc, and Mr. Bruno Piper, CEO of the West Berliner
Elektronik Firma in the office of the big Loewe Opta Fabrik in West Berlin. This contract established Olympic Radio & Television Inc to become one of the most important importers of european HIFI sets in the USA and paved the way of Loewe Opta products into the american market. The sets are imported as complete and were sold under the brand of OLYMPIC-OPTA. The gentlemen Sobin and Piper called this cooperation a further step into the reconstruction of the German economy. Loewe Opta has been constructing premium sets since 1923 and runs today plants in
Kronach, Duesseldorf and West Berlin and Olympic Radio & Television Inc. has been manufacturing for 21 years now. Mr. Sobin describes the new cooperation with Loewe Opta a chance for american consumers being able to use high-class sets in their living rooms. He said the Olympic-Opta HiFi sets would indeed have the nice looking cases, according to the Olympic specification for the american market.

Here´s the original report

Furthermore sets were produced for Fonofox. These sets were manufactured in the Duesseldorf plant. Unfortunately I do not have any data of it.
