Bocket
Bocket is a small village with about 1200 residents. It belongs to the community of Waldfeucht in nearly the westernmost part of Germany. Bocket is located about 10 km south of Heinsberg, close to the Dutch border.
Although we´re in a remote and rural area, just about 1000m off the Netherlands, we do not live at the edge of the world
In our community there is one of the last operating windmills where an interesting visit can be arranged. There is a historical steam railway and a game enclosure near by which can be visited as well.

The "Bocketer Windmill", belonging to the Frank brothers, was built in 1840 and operated until 1915. On April, 26th 1906 a heavy thunderstorm raged over Bocket. The Miller´s son was hit by a lightning and died. The mill is now converted into a nice home

Historical steam railway, an experience for old an young.
The historical steam railway runs from Schierwaldenrath to Gillrath.

Take a ride on the "Selfkantbahn" or visit the game park and combine with a relaxing cycle tour into the surroundings. Three courses are signposted and well marked. Further information will be supplied by tourist office "Verkehrsamt Gangelt"
